Wendelyne Murphy “Wendy” is a Managing Partner and leader in the Board of Directors Practice, as well as the Chief HR Officers Practice at ZRG Partners, a top 10 global executive search and talent advisory firm based in the US. She has personally led over 600 executive searches and succession assignments, and her clients span industries including industrial, technology, life sciences and healthcare companies, financial services, private equity, as well as educational and not-for-profit institutions. Prior to joining ZRG Partners, Wendy was a Managing Director and founder of the Global HR Officers Practice at RSR Partners in Greenwich, Connecticut, as well as Global Managing Director at Heidrick & Struggles HR Officers Practice for ten years based out of New York City.
Prior to her career in executive search, Wendy spent 10 years as a consultant with ODI, a global management consulting and training company. At ODI, she was part of the Asia Pacific start-up team, living in Singapore, where her focus was on assessing executive leadership teams coupled with ensuring their efficiency and effectiveness in leading and driving business strategy.
Active in many industry associations and NACD, Wendy is trained in multiple assessment methodologies and frequently speaks on the subject of “Talent as a Competitive Advantage.” She actively follows technology and social trends affecting her global client organizations and actively engages with Directors on related topics.
Wendy graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor’s degree. She and her husband Richard recently relocated to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania after 20 years in New York City & Greenwich, Connecticut, where they were active in several non-profit organizations. Wendy served on the Board of the Princeton University Faith & Work Initiative for 14 years, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees at The Stony Brook School, where she chairs the Committee on Trustees.
