The 62nd anniversary of the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show will have a number of new offerings.The new attractions were revealed at the launch of Denbigh 2014, held at the Hi-Pro Ace Supercentre in White Marl, St Catherine, last week Wednesday. To herald the launch, the first Denbigh torch was lit, which will be going around the island for the two months prior to the start of the show, when it will be handed over to Governor General Patrick Allen when he declares the show open.
The proceedings will be held under the theme: ‘Grow What We Eat ... Eat What We Grow: Agriculture ... Going for Growth.’
Among the other new attractions are The Denbigh 5K, scheduled to be held 10 days prior to the start of the show; a celebrity cook-off by title sponsor Digicel, where participants will use produce featured on the showgrounds; and the Denbigh Magazine will also be published, which will feature advertisements from sponsors and partners.
