ONLY 12 corporate companies have so far registered for the ‘Jamaica Moves: Get Moving Corporate Challenge 2019 Circuit III’ to date.

Health Minister Christopher Tufton said the Government is seeking to build on the success of the Corporate Challenge, which was launched in 2017, as part of its ‘Jamaica Moves’ campaign.

“Last year was very successful, as we had 19 companies participating. For the 2019 circuit, we already have 12 companies registered and it is always really inspiring to see the companies out in their numbers at the different races,” the health minister said.

Dr Tufton encouraged more corporate entities to get employees involved in the challenge.

“The Ministry of Health, under its ‘Jamaica Moves’ banner, has been promoting and working with stakeholders to promote corporate engagement in a health and wellness agenda,” he added.

The 2019 Corporate Challenge comprises five races to be held from May to July. The race circuit schedule is Food For the Poor 5K on May 19; Tru-Juice Cross-Country 5K, June 2; Everyone’s A Winner/The Best Dressed Chicken 5K and 10K, June 16; School’s Out 5K on June 29, and the Welcome to Kingston 5K, July 14.
