The Jamaica Association for the Deaf (JAD) last Friday received a donation of $250,000 from the Best Dressed Chicken division of the Jamaica Broilers Group (JBG), in partnership with Running Events Jamaica.

The donation represented part proceeds raised from the ninth staging of the race day event ‘Everyone’s A Winner/The Best Dressed Chicken 3K, 5K & 10K Fathers’ Day Road Races’ held earlier this year at Hope Gardens in St Andrew.

JAD is one of two beneficiaries to receive donations from race event. The other beneficiary is the Diabetes Association of Jamaica. Both organisations had volunteers at the race day event, helping to create a memorable experience for the more than 2,500 patrons that participated in the family-fun event.

Upon presenting the symbolic cheque, brand manager for The Best Dressed Chicken, Lorraine Kemble, shared how humbled she felt to be able to give back to the JAD through the company’s initiative.

“We truly hope that this donation will go a far way in helping the JAD with its varied needs as we at Jamaica Broilers Group are truly happy that we get to play our part in helping charitable organisations carry out various projects and initiatives that benefit their communities and our country,” Kemble said.
