UCT STEPPAS’ OSHANE ARCHIBALD AND JAMDAMMERS RUNNING CLUB’S JOZANNE HARRIS TOOK HOME THE TOP PRIZES IN THE MEN’S AND WOMEN’S 10K RUN AT THE EVERYONE’S A WINNER/THE BEST DRESSED ROAD RACE ON SUNDAY.

ARCHIBALD, A RISING STAR IN LONG DISTANCE RUNNING, CROSSED THE FINISH LINE IN 34 MINUTES AND FOUR SECONDS AHEAD OF RYON CHAMBERS (34:15) OF ADVANCED INTEGRATED SYSTEMS AND UCT STEPPAS TEAMMATE HENRY THOMAS (35:42).

JAMDAMMERS MEANWHILE TOOK TWO OF THE TOP THREE PRIZES IN THE FEMALE CATEGORY WITH HARRIS STOPPING THE CLOCK IN 47 MINUTES AND 12 SECONDS FOR FIRST AND TEAMMATE PAULINE MURPHY FINISHING THIRD IN 48:54. JANETTA ROBINSON OF PACERS RUNNING CLUB WAS SECOND IN 48:06.

The UCT Steppas camp also boasted a champion in the 5k category, with Garfield Gordon finishing ahead of the pack in a fast 15 minutes and 20 seconds in front of Kemar Leslie (16:10) of Rainforest Seafoods and UCT Steppas teammate Jerome Kirby (16:12).

Llori Sharpe (unattached) was the first female to cross the line in the 5k, finishing in 19 minutes and four seconds, way ahead of Sherona Stewart (22:10) of UCT Steppas and Tanesha Davis (23:17).
