The first event in the Everyone’s a Winner with The Best Dressed Chicken Road Race Series was successfully held last Sunday at Hope Gardens, with benefit partner, the Diabetes Association of Jamaica, hosting a series of check-ups using newly donated equipment from The Best Dressed Chicken, which includes wheelchairs, cholesterol machines, body mass index (BMI) scale and an echocardiogram (ECG) machine.

Danny Williams Building, New Kingston. The funds donated by the Jamaica Broilers Group will go towards the rebuilding of the Clifton Boys Home in Darliston, Westmoreland, which has been destroyed by fire. Since then the boys have been housed at the Assemblies of Holiness Church, in the adjoining district of Caledonia.
It was a lot more than bun and cheese at the senior citizens’ Easter treat hosted by the Jamaica Broilers Group (JBG) at its Best Dressed Chicken (BDC) Sports Club in Spring Village, St. Catherine. It was a time of fun, food, and story-telling by the elders about the times long before BDC set up its processing plant in the area. Most of them worked at the plant until their retirement.
If you happen to be driving towards the GC Foster College of Physical Education and Sport from the Spanish Town bypass in St Catherine on a Friday or Saturday afternoon, it is highly likely that a few metres before getting to the institution, something will hit you. You will spot a blue, black and yellow Best Dressed Chicken jerk stand, smoke- emitting silver jerk pans, a blue tarpaulin, seats and people lined up — all this to behold at the entrance of Villmore Gardens on the right side of the roadway.
The Best Dressed Chicken Fun In The Son, which celebrated its 14th staging in 2016, won the award for Most Rated Event of The Year. Produced by Glory Music and sponsored by Jamaica Broilers Group, last year’s show at National Heroes Park in Kingston attracted a massive crowd who saw performances from Donnie McClurkin, Evangelist Andrew Palau, Carlene Davis, Papa San, Kevin Downswell, Rondell Positive and Judith Gayle.

CEO Charles Chambers said the commissioning of more than 830,000 barrels of storage will make WIP second only to Petrojam as the largest owner of fuel storage in Jamaica. The total storage is broken down as 65,000 barrels at the Ocho Rios Pier and 600, 000 at the former Jamaica Broilers ethanol plant, which it acquired last year and has now completely retrofitted to store gasolene, diesel and heavy fuel oil.
Sales in the quarter climbed 18 per cent to $11.7 billion, and from that Jamaica Broilers scored $722 million in net profit, which, in turn, was up 49.5 per cent year-on-year.
In keeping with the organisation’s culture of giving, employees of the Jamaica Broilers Group (JBG) in Jamaica, Haiti and the USA participated in their annual ‘Share the Love’ campaign held over the valentine season to bring cheer to hundreds of needy and disenfranchised persons in communities near to the various locations.
