Links And Lyme March 16, 2010
Who wins the Customer of the Year Award? Only the restaurant that says it's 'Finger lickin' good' could.
Jamaica Broilers Group's appreciation day was a fun-filled one for family and friends who gathered at Hope Botanic Gardens for 'Hope, Links and Lyme' on Sunday, March 7.
Some of the day's attractions included clowns from Lenny's Clown Services, bounce-a-bouts, rides and a domino competition for those experts eager to prove their skills. Tents and booths with the company's colours were also strategically placed around the garden, each dedicated to a different line of product.
Entertainment
Music lovers were serenaded by Dwight Richards and Friends and treated to a wonderful display of real Jamaican 'lyme', delivered by the Reggae Jamminz crew. There were also men on stilts, a marching band and a drumming team, led by an enthusiastic flute player, which paraded around the park. The Stella Maris Dance Group followed and showcased a number of contemporary pieces.
Jamaica Broilers used this festive gathering as the perfect platform on which to unveil its new chicken frankfurters which were warmly received. Individuals, were given an opportunity to sample.
The day's activities progressed into a company awards presentation during which top billing companies, institutions, workers and customers of the year were honoured. Oliver Mair alongside MC Jenny Jenny did a wonderful job at keeping the crowd involved and excited during the presentations. At the end of all the cheers, they selected the two most enthusiastic guests who also received prizes.
To signal the end of a peaceful, relaxing family fun day, Judy and Sally Levy released locally bred Monarch butterflies into the garden as a sign of hope for good things to come.
