Vice President – Human Resource Development & Public Relations
Claudette Cooke, CMT, Ed.D., joined the Group in 1994 – fresh from her post of Senior Vice President for Creative Services at Dunlop Corbin Compton Associates. At Jamaica Broilers, she took up duties as Group Public Relations Executive and one year later, was appointed to her present post as Vice President – Human Resource Development & Public Relations.
Dr. Cooke – who is listed in the international Who's Who of Professionals – holds a Doctorate in Education (Training/Human Performance Improvement) ; a Masters degree in HRD and Training and an undergraduate degree in Communications Sciences. In early 2003, she was certified as a Master Trainer – having attained the professional competencies as defined by the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) and the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (ibstpi).
Claudette Cooke was appointed a Director of the Board of Jamaica Broilers Group in September 2003 and despite the addition of those duties to her already demanding post as Vice President for HRD and PR, she continues to be heavily involved in social work. Dr. Cooke is Executive Chairman of the Association of Christian Female Executives, a Director of Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) and the National Intercessory Prayer Network of Jamaica and is the Convenor of the Annual Signature Woman Leadership Connection. Additionally, she is a director of the Joy Town Community Development Foundation and works closely with her husband, Major Richard Cooke, in the inner-city area of Trench Town.
Dr. Cooke has been married to Major Richard Cooke since 1979 and they have three children - Ryan, Rachel and John-Paul.
